Recreational Cannabis vs. Medicinal Cannabis

There was much hype in the late 2000' when states began selling Medicinal Cannabis. Used to treat diseases such as anxiety and cancer, with the approval there was finally money to go into research about what the plant could actually do. Recreational cannabis was recently approved in the state of Rhode Island (Within the last 5 years) and its being sold at 5 dispensaries. I've talked to several people that work in Operations for the Cannabis Industry and one person told me that the only difference is the taxes. By this logic, recreational Cannabis is medicinal cannabis. And its medical effects can be made available to everyone. Maybe this will lead us to a healthier society overall. Thoughts to ponder.
